y nuestro comportamiento.&lt;br \/&gt;\n&lt;br \/&gt;\nFue en 1983 cuando Howard Gardner trat\u00f3, en su libro \u201cInteligencias m\u00faltiples: la teor\u00eda en la pr\u00e1ctica\u00bb, el concepto de inteligencias m\u00faltiples, distintas y semi-independientes.&lt;br \/&gt;\n&lt;br \/&gt;\nLa inteligencia emocional y las inteligencias m\u00faltiples&lt;br \/&gt;\nGardner planteaba los siguientes siete tipos de inteligencias m\u00faltiples:&lt;br \/&gt;\n&lt;br \/&gt;\nInteligencia Intelectual&lt;br \/&gt;\nLing\u00fc\u00edstica&lt;br \/&gt;\nEspacial&lt;br \/&gt;\nMusical&lt;br \/&gt;\nCorporal&lt;br \/&gt;\nL\u00f3gico-matem\u00e1tica&lt;br \/&gt;\nInteligencia emocional y para qu\u00e9 sirve&lt;br \/&gt;\nIntrapersonal&lt;br \/&gt;\nInterpersonal&lt;br \/&gt;\nLa inteligencia emocional determina c\u00f3mo nos relacionamos con nosotros mismos (inteligencia intrapersonal) y con los dem\u00e1s (inteligencia interpersonal).&lt;br \/&gt;\nTiene en cuenta las actitudes, los sentimientos y engloba habilidades como: el control de los impulsos, la autoconciencia, la automotivaci\u00f3n, la confianza, el entusiasmo, la empat\u00eda, etc.&lt;br \/&gt;\n&lt;br \/&gt;\nA\u00f1os m\u00e1s tarde, en 1995, fue Daniel Goleman, con sus investigaciones y su libro \u201cInteligencia Emocional\u201d quien cuestion\u00f3 el valor de la inteligencia racional y del coeficiente intelectual como predictores de \u00e9xito en la vida.&lt;br \/&gt;\n&lt;br \/&gt;\nHoy en d\u00eda, todos conocemos casos de personas que no han tenido buenos resultados acad\u00e9micos o que no son brillantes en su inteligencia matem\u00e1tica o ling\u00fc\u00edstica, por ejemplo (que son aqu\u00e9llas que m\u00e1s se valoran todav\u00eda en muchos colegios), pero que han cosechado grandes \u00e9xitos en la vida, (si entendemos por \u00e9xito el ser feliz haciendo lo que te gusta y se te da bien).&lt;br \/&gt;\n&lt;br \/&gt;\nLa inteligencia emocional se puede desarrollar&lt;br \/&gt;\nContribuye de forma muy importante en ese \u00e9xito la capacidad de las personas de tener una alta inteligencia emocional. La buena noticia a este respecto es que la inteligencia emocional se puede desarrollar. Se trata de competencias que todos tenemos de serie, en mayor o menor medida, pero que al tomar conciencia del nivel que poseemos podemos elegir desarrollarlas y mejorarlas. Depende en gran medida de nosotros.&lt;br \/&gt;\n&lt;br \/&gt;\nEl desarrollo de la inteligencia emocional implica en primer lugar la toma de conciencia, es decir, observar, reconocer y comprender nuestras propias emociones y los mecanismos internos que nos llevan a ellas y, en segundo lugar, saber gestionarlas, esto es, expresarlas o controlarlas seg\u00fan lo que consideremos m\u00e1s adecuado en cada momento o situaci\u00f3n. La buena noticia a este respecto es que la inteligencia emocional se puede desarrollar. Se trata de competencias que todos tenemos de serie, en mayor o menor medida, pero que al tomar conciencia del nivel que poseemos podemos elegir desarrollarlas y mejorarlas. Depende en gran medida de nosotros.\n\nEl desarrollo de la inteligencia emocional implica en primer lugar la toma de conciencia, es decir, observar, reconocer y comprender nuestras propias emociones y los mecanismos internos que nos llevan a ellas y, en segundo lugar, saber gestionarlas, esto es, expresarlas o controlarlas seg\u00fan lo que consideremos m\u00e1s adecuado en cada momento o situaci\u00f3n.
