Next, we will deal with a competence of interpersonal intelligence<\/strong> that is ecological awareness<\/strong>. People with high ecological awareness demonstrate a special sensitivity and awareness <\/a>of how their actions can impact the environment.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

I would like to invite you to reflect on this concept in a broad sense. People with high ecological awareness demonstrate that they have developed a set of skills, attitudes and abilities useful to interact ethically, responsibly and sustainably with their environment<\/strong>, not only environmentally, but also with the people and communities with whom they interact, social environment.<\/p>\n\n

Eco-conscious people<\/h2>\n\n

Thus, ecologically conscious people avoid or minimize the inappropriate practices caused by human activity, they choose a philosophy of life that is concerned with protecting the environment, in order to conserve it and guarantee its present and future balance. People with high ecological awareness are convinced that natural resources must be protected and used rationally.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

They also pay attention to how their decisions and actions <\/strong>may affect the people involved in their environment, both social and work, and they make their decisions minimizing the negative impact they could have on others or their environment<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n

Relationship of ecological awareness with other competences<\/h3>\n\n

Ecological awareness is therefore related to other emotional intelligence competencies seen above such as empathy, collaboration, compassion and kindness.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

This is a skill that is increasingly in demand today in organizations, as there is a growing social awareness of the importance of sustainability and respect and care for the environment<\/strong> in order to be able to design a lasting economic and social model<\/strong> that avoids irreparable damage to the environment or the depletion of natural resources.<\/p>\n\n

HOW CAN I DEVELOP ECOLOGICAL AWARENESS?<\/h2>\n\n

The best way to develop this competence is by creating environmental awareness in your environment, both personal and work, through habits that demonstrate how you apply this value in your day to day. Nothing has a greater impact on people than seeing in practice the benefits of caring for the environment<\/strong> and selecting our behaviours based on respect for the environment and sustainability.<\/p>\n\n

Become aware<\/h2>\n\n

I invite you to become ecologically aware of the following aspects (in your personal and professional environment):<\/p>\n\n

How can you reduce water consumption<\/strong>? And the plastics<\/strong> one? <\/p>\n\n

What can you reuse in your day-to-day work? How can you reduce material consumption? <\/p>\n\n

How can you use more sustainable means of transport<\/strong> to get around?<\/p>\n\n

What is the environmental footprint<\/a><\/strong> of your activity and how can you minimise it? How can you improve the management of hazardous materials and waste? <\/p>\n\n

What environmental and social care<\/strong> indicators can you establish in your company or in your work team?<\/p>\n\n

How can you have a more positive impact with your company’s projects on communities and the environment?<\/p>\n\n

How can you prevent and reduce the environmental impacts<\/strong> generated by your company or your work?<\/p>\n\n

What actions can you take to raise awareness and offer environmental training<\/strong> to your workers?<\/p>\n\n
