The ethical management competence of artificial intelligence <\/strong>is the ability to identify, analyse and act in accordance with ethical principles in the design, implementation and use of AI to ensure that its results are fair, transparent and respectful <\/strong>of human and social rights.<\/p>\n

This competence involves recognizing the ethical dilemmas and risks that can be associated with the uncontrolled and careless use of artificial intelligence, such as bias, discrimination, lack of transparency, or invasion of privacy. People who have developed this competence apply principles of justice, autonomy, privacy, transparency and responsibility in the use and application of AI in their different processes and activities. These people promote the importance of human supervision, monitoring algorithmic decisions, and mitigating negative impacts on users and society. <\/p>\n\n

This competence is closely related to other competences seen above such as honesty<\/strong>, critical thinking<\/strong>, prudence<\/strong> and analytical capacity.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

HOW CAN I DEVELOP THE ETHICAL MANAGEMENT OF ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE?<\/u><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n

In order to develop this competence, I invite you to reflect on the following aspects:<\/p>\n\n

    \n
  • Define clear ethical principles:<\/strong> review what the international reference frameworks are (such as those of UNESCO or OECD) and decide what your internal guidelines of good practices are for your responsible use of AI.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Increase your awareness through training:<\/strong> research on digital ethics, algorithmic biases, privacy. Also train your teams and encourage ethical reflection and critical thinking in your work environment. <\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Create or participate in ethics committees:<\/strong> These groups can provide an independent view to monitor and evaluate compliance with ethical principles in AI projects, with authority to audit and propose changes.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Carry out audits and impact evaluations of your actions:<\/strong> Implement regular and systematic reviews of data, algorithms, and results to identify potential ethical risks, as well as auditing and risk management tools.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Be transparent and communicate:<\/strong> Clearly inform your employees, customers and\/or users about the operation, the data used and the objectives of the AI systems implemented, opening spaces for dialogue and reception of concerns. Remember that developing the ethical AI management competence in your company not only reduces reputational risks, but will boost trust in your company and the sustainability of its technological innovations. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n
